My first attempt at wood turning and segmenting back in 2008, thought I would give it a go and this is what I came up with a segmented nut tray 300 mm in diameter x 70 mm high turned from Fijian Kauri. Being my first attempt I really had know idea what I was doing or how to use the chisels the only one that resembled anything I ne about chisels was the parting tool but I managed to finish this bowl,

Comments welcome.

Must have done it right Keith, it’s still going after all these years.
Love the timber.

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.

So, let me get this straight. You made this in 2008? It looks great.
